Chase Scene- Final Video

My final video of the year is about a girl who steals a sweatshirt and will never be the same again... Just kidding. Kind of. It's about a girl who steals a sweatshirt and then gets chased by the owner of the sweatshirt. You'll just have to watch the video to find out what happens next.

Process

To jump start the video making process, my team and I had to create a storyboard that laid out all the shots we were going to include in our video. We then started shooting as soon as possible. After that, we split up and individually edited so that all of our final videos turned out slightly different. 

What I Learned

For this final project, I combined my knowledge of the six shot system, the rule of thirds, the 180-degree rule, and the axis line. In the editing process, I also learned how to remove audio and add text.

In the Future...

If I could change this video, I would try to edit the clips so that the whole video flowed more smoothly and I would make sure not to pan on the second to last shot. Overall, I am actually fairly proud of this video. Although there are many things that I wish I could change or do better, I also believe that this was my best video yet.

Videos I watched a few videos to start learning about typography. Although they weren't always the most exciting, I did learn a lot that I didn't even realize I needed to know. I learned about how critical fonts can be in getting a message across and how they are often the first impression that a consumer gets of a product. ONW Procedure Video

My first video project of my sophomore year was creating a video that showed how to go through a basic procedure at ONW. My group decided to show how to get a pass and go to the restroom. Initially, we were going to show what not to do as well as what you should do, but I decided to cut that out of my edit in order to make the video shorter. We had to start the process with coming up with a concept for the video. Luckily, we came up with the idea of getting a pass and going to the restroom fairly quickly. Once we did that, I wrote the script and the other group members created the storyboard. We were supposed to start filming the next day, but we got faulty equipment so we couldn't start until the next day. As far as our cast list, we just used the people in our group as actors in the video so that we wouldn't have to disturb any other groups or classes. My 10 Strengths Animation

Process For this project we had to come up with ten strengths that we possess. The ten that I came up with are  writing, honesty, loyalty, logical, intellectual, creative, patient, helpful, supportive, and humorous. I had to ask some friends to help me come up with some of them, which was very helpful. After we came up with these strengths, we had to find a photo to use as a background for our animation. I chose a large, old library because I love books and antiques. We then had to arrange our words on the background using different layers. In order to make them look pleasing, we had to experiment with fonts, sizes, and colors. Finally, we got to the animation part. unlike the last few times, we used the video option in photoshop to animate this particular project.
