First Animation
Process
In this first glimpse into animation, we learned about Photoshop and two main principles of animation. We started with creating the sky and ground to be the background of the bouncing ball. I then made one circle on the next layer, adding gradient afterwards to give it a more 3D look. Then I added multiple layers of the same ball, gradually making them further apart and stretching them. These were the "Ease In and Ease Out" and "Squash and Stretch" principles.
What I Learned
I learned many new skills throughout this first animation experience. I learned all about Photoshop, which I had never used before. I learned how to use tools such as gradient, shape, and crop on Photoshop. I also learned a bunch of short cuts on the Mac computer using the "Command" key and others.
In the Future...
If I were to do this again, I would probably do most things very similarly. I really like how it turned out and am fairly proud of myself. However, I would try to give the animation more depth with better gradient and possibly background images such as clouds.
