2018 Golden Globes

This was the first time I've ever watched an award show and I actually really enjoyed it. It was really cool seeing all those celebrities join together and support each other. However, I was a little disappointed by the winners. I've only seen a few of the movies and TV shows that were nominated and most of them didn't win anything.
One winner that I was happy about was "This is Me" for Best Original Song. I watched The Greatest Showman the day before The Golden Globes and loves it, so I was really hoping that it would win at least one award. Although I'm sad that it didn't win in the Best Musical or Comedy Motion Picture category, I think Lady Bird was a good choice and I'm excited to be able to watch it.
I was pretty happy that The Handmaid's Tale won so many awards. I've watched that whole show and I agree that it's really well made and tells a really interesting story.
There were also a lot of winning movies and TV shows that I have not seen yet, but the Golden Globes really opened my eyes to them and I am excited to watch all of the winners.

Videos I watched a few videos to start learning about typography. Although they weren't always the most exciting, I did learn a lot that I didn't even realize I needed to know. I learned about how critical fonts can be in getting a message across and how they are often the first impression that a consumer gets of a product. I then started to learn a lot about the technical side of typography. I learned that bracketed serifs are curved whereas unbracketed serifs are sharper. I learned what type families are and how you can properly use them to their full potential. I learned that kerning is the adjustment of space between two letters, and tracking is the overall amount of space applied within a body of text. ONW Procedure Video

My first video project of my sophomore year was creating a video that showed how to go through a basic procedure at ONW. My group decided to show how to get a pass and go to the restroom. Initially, we were going to show what not to do as well as what you should do, but I decided to cut that out of my edit in order to make the video shorter. We had to start the process with coming up with a concept for the video. Luckily, we came up with the idea of getting a pass and going to the restroom fairly quickly. Once we did that, I wrote the script and the other group members created the storyboard. We were supposed to start filming the next day, but we got faulty equipment so we couldn't start until the next day. As far as our cast list, we just used the people in our group as actors in the video so that we wouldn't have to disturb any other groups or classes. My 10 Strengths Animation

Process For this project we had to come up with ten strengths that we possess. The ten that I came up with are  writing, honesty, loyalty, logical, intellectual, creative, patient, helpful, supportive, and humorous. I had to ask some friends to help me come up with some of them, which was very helpful. After we came up with these strengths, we had to find a photo to use as a background for our animation. I chose a large, old library because I love books and antiques. We then had to arrange our words on the background using different layers. In order to make them look pleasing, we had to experiment with fonts, sizes, and colors. Finally, we got to the animation part. unlike the last few times, we used the video option in photoshop to animate this particular project. We used various tools availible to us to make the words move and come into the screen at different times.
