First Glance at the 6 Shot System

The first shot in the six shot system is a simple and shot.  This is essentially just a close up of the subjects hands to give a glimpse of what they are doing.  




The next shot is a face shot.  This is to show the subject's emotions through facial expressions.



The over the shoulder shot is to show more of what the subject is doing.  This shot should still include the subject's hands.

The medium shot shows the top of of the subject's body and gives a little of bit environmental context.

The wide shot shows the subject's whole body and even more of the area around them.


The extreme wide shot shows the whole environment and only shows the subject in a small portion of the frame.

Videos I watched a few videos to start learning about typography. Although they weren't always the most exciting, I did learn a lot that I didn't even realize I needed to know. I learned about how critical fonts can be in getting a message across and how they are often the first impression that a consumer gets of a product. I then started to learn a lot about the technical side of typography. I learned that bracketed serifs are curved whereas unbracketed serifs are sharper. I learned what type families are and how you can properly use them to their full potential. I learned that kerning is the adjustment of space between two letters, and tracking is the overall amount of space applied within a body of text. I also learned that leading is the space between lines of text and that it is typically two points greater than the font size. ONW Procedure Video

My first video project of my sophomore year was creating a video that showed how to go through a basic procedure at ONW. My group decided to show how to get a pass and go to the restroom. Initially, we were going to show what not to do as well as what you should do, but I decided to cut that out of my edit in order to make the video shorter. We had to start the process with coming up with a concept for the video. Luckily, we came up with the idea of getting a pass and going to the restroom fairly quickly. Once we did that, I wrote the script and the other group members created the storyboard. We were supposed to start filming the next day, but we got faulty equipment so we couldn't start until the next day. As far as our cast list, we just used the people in our group as actors in the video so that we wouldn't have to disturb any other groups or classes. My 10 Strengths Animation

Process For this project we had to come up with ten strengths that we possess. The ten that I came up with are  writing, honesty, loyalty, logical, intellectual, creative, patient, helpful, supportive, and humorous. I had to ask some friends to help me come up with some of them, which was very helpful. After we came up with these strengths, we had to find a photo to use as a background for our animation. I chose a large, old library because I love books and antiques. We then had to arrange our words on the background using different layers. In order to make them look pleasing, we had to experiment with fonts, sizes, and colors. Finally, we got to the animation part. unlike the last few times, we used the video option in photoshop to animate this particular project. We used various tools availible to us to make the words move and come into the screen at different times.
